Misr Al-Khair launches the report “Environmental, Socio-Economic Description (of Beni Suef Governorate)”

Within the framework of implementing the activities of the project “Enhancing the Roles of Non-Governmental Organizations in Sustainable Development and Climate Action (Sustainable Empowerment)”, funded by the European Union and in partnership with the Nahdet Beni Suef Foundation.
This dialogue aimed to discuss the report’s recommendations and ways to enhance cooperation between development partners at the local level to implement those recommendations in service of issues of sustainable development and climate action in light of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The report reached a number of recommendations that covered Beni Suef Governorate in all sectors, focusing on promoting sustainable development, improving ways to confront climate change, and enhancing cooperation between concerned parties to achieve development goals. The recommendations also included proposals to support local administration and civil society, and provide innovative solutions to environmental, economic and social challenges, thus contributing to achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030.
A group of executive leaders and representatives of major civil society organizations, the Misr El Kheir Foundation, and partner associations participated in the conference.
It is worth noting that the project is being implemented in four governorates, and aims to build community work mechanisms, especially local administration and civil society, to confront the effects of climate change and accelerate the localization of sustainable development goals.
